Tell us a little about your background and how you became interested in the Kitchen and Bath industry.
"I graduated in Architecture and Urban Planning in Brazil. In Brazil, I always worked in Interiors. I was doing material selection for multi-family and Residential Interior design with an Architectural Firm. In 2013, I started my own company in Brazil, Designed Smart.
After moving to the USA in 2015, I worked for Restoration Hardware as their Design Consultant. I really missed the construction part of the business, being involved with contractors and visiting job sites. This led me to Lowe's in Denver as a Project Specialist in Interiors doing full kitchen and bath remodels and then District Sales Manager leading a team of 16 Interior Specialists and 16 Exterior Specialists.
Back to Washington, I took a role as a Trainer for Canyon Creek Cabinets helping customers learn more about our brand and how to design using our collections. This month I will begin a new adventure as a Design and Sales Branch Manager for Devine Bath."
What do you do for fun?
"I love spending time with my 15mo old son, enjoying some tech-disconnected time with the family and learning new sports. "
What value do you get out of your NKBA membership?
"NKBA has so much to offer! From all the great webinars hosted to the networking. You get to meet and collaborate with a lot of great local designers. It also keeps me up to date on industry trends, events etc. "
What else would you like to share with us?
"This year I participated in my first Design Contest. I submitted a bathroom design to the 2020 Design Inspiration Contest and won the "Voter's Choice" category! It was my first time participating. I was inspired by fellow Puget Sound member, Amanda George, to participate and I gave it a shot and won! It was pretty fun to be part of something so cool and see so many great designs submitted."
